Abbotsholme is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Simon Ruscoe-Price (NPQH PGCE BA (Hons)) as the new Headmaster. He is a highly talented leader with a great deal of experience and an excellent track record. He has a passion for holistic learning and cutting-edge practice and has a real desire to provide the best possible education for all students.
Mr Ruscoe-Price has over twenty-seven years of diverse experience in education as a school leader, teacher trainer, and as a pioneer of education reform across the globe. After having served nine years as Director of Specialism focusing on language, culture and diversity at a high school in Suffolk, Mr Ruscoe-Price took his first step into international education as Deputy Director of a national school improvement programme for the government of the United Arab Emirates. Mr Ruscoe-Price then moved to India to implement a specialist international curriculum delivering academic excellence across a group of schools.
This year, Chris Hall will be hosting a new event; a clay-pigeon shoot, Chris is organising the shoot at Homestead Farm on 4 July. All are welcome, but numbers actually shooting are limited to a maximum of 20. There will be a charge of £15 per person for 25 shots to cover Chris’s expenses. We will let you know shortly the process for reserving your place and for paying.
UPDATE The OA Club Committee is disappointed to announce that the Derek Sederman Memorial Cricket Match in May has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Interest in the event was strong, with lots of people keen to spend time at the wicket, so the committee is keeping the reserve date of 21 June. An update will be provided closer to June.
