Dates for Your Diary - 2019
If you would like to celebrate the life of Derek Sederman or visit Abbotsholme during the year, here are some important dates for your diary in 2019.
Derek Sederman Memorial Service - 16 March 2019
A memorial service for Derek Sederman will be held in the chapel at Abbotsholme at 11.00am. Everyone is very welcome to attend. Further details will follow.
POSTPONED - OA Mixed Hockey, 5 or 7-a-side Football - 27 April 2019
A mixed hockey match will be played against the school (and possibly a 5 or 7-a-side football match). Laura Askew, Head of Sport, will be contacting some OAs directly to ask them to play. If you would like to be involved, please email laura.askew@abbotsholme.co.uk.
OA Cricket Gathering - Summer Term - Date to be Confirmed
The club intends to hold an outdoor cricket-focused gathering with a BBQ towards the end of the summer term, rather than a formal dinner. All OAs and their families will be invited.
We hope there will be an OA match (of relative youngsters) v the Abbotsholme Ist XI, as well as an OA v OA match for those whom we might term the ‘veterans’. We thought that this would be a very good way of remembering and honouring Derek and his huge contribution to cricket, both at school and beyond. Further details will follow.
