Following the success of last year's reunion day, where for the first time events ran from the afternoon through to the dinner, ending with an informal concert in the chapel, the 2016 event on 13th August will again feature a full programme with something for everyone. More details will follow soon, but so far, starting around 3pm, the day is set to comprise:
The 1997 Morocco expedition - Jenny Richardson and Mary Spencer
Memories of Gordon Clark - music and anecdotes played and told by members whose lives were forever changed by the great man!
Dinner - speaker Simon Robinson
Songs of David Bowie played by an all star Abbotsholmians' band (and anyone else who would like to join in), accompanied by school photographs from across the years
Our after dinner speaker, Simon Robinson, left school in 1985. He has driven a camper van from New York to Guatemala, gone kayaking in the Arctic and had a fascinating and successful career in computer animation for which he won an Academy Award. Guy Pearson has once again kindly agreed to be our Musical Director for the day. Accommodation will be available at the school for anyone who would like to stay over.
